Dimethyl Benzyl ammonium chloride
- Is a Quaternary Ammonium Compound (QAC) disinfectant often used in the poultry industry to disinfect hard surfaces. DDAC is a membrane active agent and bactericidal causes immediate leakage of important intracellular constituents by interacting with the cytoplasmic membrane lead to cell death of bacteria .
- QAC is fungicidal and bactericidal agent (less so against Gram-negative bacteria, but not sporicidal or tuberculocidal, and shows variable activity against viruses (lipid enveloped) viruses.
- QAC is inactivated and neutralized by soaps, anionic detergents and organic matter.
Description
HYDRICIN is a broad spectrum disinfectant . It is a latest generation disinfectant which combines two active principles that together exert a very effective disinfectant action at reduced doses of use: Glutaraldehyde and Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride. The great penetration capacity of these compounds, together with the action of the surfactants in their excipient, ensure an immediate and intense disinfectant action. It is effective against viruses, bacteria and fungi, even in the presence of organic matter.- Its excellent compatibility with all kinds of materials makes it a versatile product for the complete disinfection of buildings, premises and installations in farming, poultry and rabbit breeding, dog kennels, and other animal enclosures. Likewise, it can be used in the disinfection of tools, machinery and devices, as well as for the disinfection of cattle transport, veterinary clinics (animal areas, hospitalization cages …) and slaughter houses (animal stabling areas).
